pH of aqueous extracts – cold extraction
Purpose of the test
This test is performed to determine the pH of paper, solid board or folding board using the cold extraction method.
Procedure
Conductivity of the water should be checked and maintained at <0,1 mS/m.
Determine the pH according to the standard to the nearest 0,1.
Report 2 measures, their mean and standard deviation calculated to 3 significant figures.

Nr. of samples
The package contains about 6 g of paper. This quantity is sufficient for two measurements and possibly for one or two additional tests in case of need.

Levels
Level 1: 7.0÷8.0
Level 2: 9.0÷10.0
Reporting
Report 2 valid results of measurements, their mean and their standard deviation. All to three significant digits.
