TISSUE – RESIDUAL WATER ABSORPTION
Purpose of the test
This test is performed to determine the water absorption and absorption time of tissue paper.
Procedure
Operate the instrument in accordance with ISO 12625-8 (manual or automated method) and the manufacturer’s instructions.
From each stack, cut two test pieces of 76±1 mm width, with the length in machine direction (longer side of the specimen) to have a mass of 5,0±0,2 g.
Separate the sheets before testing.
Report 5 measures of absorption in g/g and absorption time in s, their mean and standard deviation calculated to 3 significant figures.
